FAQ’s

Planning on attending PorchFest Senoia? Here’s what you need to know…

  • We are grateful to the performers and hosts for donating their time and homes for this event!
  • Don’t forget your lawn chairs or wagons. Once in Senoia you can walk to each of the host homes, find a place on the closed street in front of the participating home and enjoy the music!
  • Make sure to stop by our information booth at the Senoia Farmer’s Market located at Travis Street, for information, maps to the hosting homes and other activities.
  • Volunteers will be available throughout the neighborhoods to answer questions and provide printed programs.
  • As you visit each porch and performance, please watch out for plantings in front of homes and plan to sit or stand on lawns, walkways, sidewalks or the closed street. Please use caution when walking on streets that are not closed to automobiles, golf carts or bicycles.

WHAT IS PORCHFEST?

PorchFest is a hometown neighborhood and community celebration where porches and yards become stages for local and regional bands and musicians. Senoia’s streets become artist galleries and walk-up restaurants.

WHO IS ORGANIZING THIS EVENT?

PorchFest Senoia is organized by volunteers and sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority and local vendors. A list of the sponsors will be available on signage throughout the event and on our Facebook PorchFest Senoia event page.

HOW DOES PORCHFEST WORK?

Neighbors offer their porches or yards, performers and artists volunteer their talents. We pair musicians with porches and yards and artists with street locations. Food trucks and beverage proprietors will provide yummy food and drinks. A children’s area will provide young PorchFesters with games and crafts. Music, art, food and drink will be enjoyed between 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 4, 2022.

WHAT MUSIC WILL BE PERFORMED AT PORCHFEST?

We have bands and solo artists who will be performing various genres.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND PORCHFEST?

Anyone and everyone! PorchFest Senoia is family-friendly and features a wide variety of music – so there’s sure to be a band or performance that sparks your interest.

DO I NEED A TICKET? WHAT DOES PORCHFEST COST

PorchFest is a FREE event for participants. Tips for the musicians are encouraged. Food and drinks will be available to purchase. Artwork from local artisans will be available for sale. Check out one band or sixteen! Stay for 20 minutes or all afternoon! VIP experience tickets are $25 each and are available at www.enjoysenoia.net/PorchFest.

IS THERE A MAP OR A SCHEDULE?

An event map and schedule will be available on our Facebook PorchFest Senoia event page and at www.EnjoySenoia.net/PorchFest. Check our listings for the most up-to-date information, as new bands and porches are joining each day. We will also have printed maps available during PorchFest at the Senoia Farmer’s Market located at Travis Street.

DO THE MUSICIANS GET PAID?

Organizers, performers, and porch hosts are all giving freely of their time and talents. If you would like to support a band, you are welcome to make a donation in the tip jars provided or via the QR codes on signage.

SHOULD I WALK, PARK, DRIVE?

This event is designed for walking. If you need to drive to Senoia, please find a convenient parking spot and walk from there.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO PORCHFEST?

A folding chair to carry to each porch/stage. Comfortable shoes for walking the historical streets of Senoia. No outside food, drink or coolers will be allowed inside the PorchFest area. 

WHAT ABOUT FOOD AND DRINK?

Food trucks and drink vendors will be on hand.  Some local businesses will also be open during PorchFest hours. Please remember that each venue is someone’s porch, so please be sure that you are respectful and clean up after yourself. No outside food, drink or coolers will be allowed inside the PorchFest area. 

WHERE CAN I FIND A BATHROOM?

Porta-johns, including an accessible one, will be located throughout the performance area. You can also use the public restrooms near City Hall on Main Street. VIP ticket holders can use the air conditioned bathroom at the Farmer’s Market.

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH THE VIP TICKETS?

The $25 VIP tickets include admission to the Senoia Farmer’s Market building, access to the air conditioned indoor bathroom, seating, private VIP bar and a spotlight band will entertain from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

HOW DO I PURCHASE VIP TICKETS?

VIP tickets are available at www.enjoysenoia.net/PorchFest/.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

PorchFest will take place rain or shine so plan ahead and dress appropriately.

IS THIS A CHILD-FRIENDLY EVENT?

Yes!  People of all ages are encouraged to attend PorchFest. Visit participating porches at your own pace. Feel free to bring strollers, wagons and chairs. Children’s activities will be offered on Travis Street.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED?

Rules for Fido are the same as they would be at any other time on the street or sidewalk. All dogs must be leashed and well behaved. Please be aware and respectful of any homeowners’ preferences while on their property as different hosts will likely have different preferences when it comes to dogs.

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY BAND FOR PORCHFEST?

Please email a short recording or a YouTube link of your band performing to PorchFestSenoia@gmail.com by Thursday, August 4, 2022.

Sponsorships are available on the event page of the website.  Donations to assure the future of PorchFest can be made at the information booth at the Senoia Farmer’s Market at 40 Travis Street.
